David Morris is the MP for Morecambe & Lunesdale.
David lives in Bare and has two sons Thomas (15) and Robert (7).
Before entering Parliament in May 2010, David was a hairdresser and for many years ran his own succesful salon. David was trained by one of Europe’s leading stylists Pierre Alexander.
David is a proud Lancastrian from a nautical family that has strong links with Heysham and the Fylde coast, where his father was the inspector of lifeboats and his Brother captained a vessel out of Heysham.
He has had the privilege of a multicultural upbringing and education in Hong Kong and the Bahamas when his father was in the respective port authorities.
David was the Conservative Party’s choice for Parliament in Blackpool South in 2001, where he had the most significant reduction in the Fylde coast and reduced Labour’s majority by a third. He also made Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire one of the UK’s most marginal target seats.
David has a strong belief in protecting our nation’s heritage and tradition and will be relentless in fighting for the best deal possible for his constituents.

Rising through the grass roots of the Conservative Party, David has extensive experience in politics spanning the best parts of two decades.
He was once the youngest constituency Chairman in the United Kingdom; on both a Constituency and European level and was the Party’s spokesman on youth affairs. He also acted as an advisor to Greenwich University on a major new study into the effects of the minimum wage.
Hailed as one of David Cameron’s new breed of Conservative MP’s, David will fight for the rights and well being for all of his Constituents.
